Day 28 of the #amonthinpaper challenge from @paperartistcollective . I can’t believe we’re coming to the end! Today’s prompt is support system. I’ve been blessed to have a large network of people who have supported me since day one. My family who puts up with tiny bits of paper and glitter everywhere and me saying, “Check out this one!” and all of you who are taking the time to read my posts and comment. Every time you do that, I am encouraged to keep honing in on my skills and growing as a creative. I look back and realize how much I’ve come and how far I want to go…. (but my goals are another days prompt! ☺️) So thank you and a huge shoutout to those of you who have said yay or nay and keep dropping by to see what I’m up to next! ☺️✂️🖌💐 Size- 8”x10” . . . . . . . . . #paperart #quilling #quillingfun #jenniferstacey #crossart #religiousart #quilledcross #paperquilling #paperflowers #floraldesign #wildpilotllc #madefrompaper #watercolorpainting #etsysellersofinstagram #etsyfind #religiousdecor #faith #thankfulgratefulblessed #paperartistcollective #amonthinpaperday28

Another Ornament for Christmas

I found some more ornaments in my closet of craft stuff while cleaning this summer.  Obviously my cleaning didn't get very far being so delighted with my new discovery!  I found a cute clip art a while back of some holly leaves, so I thought about how I could do it inside the ornament.  After a few minutes, I was ready to start.  After gluing two leaves together, I gently pushed them inside.  I then used a plastic butter knife to keep them lying flat and let them dry.  I then added the third leaf.

Quilled Horseback Rider

I have a close friend who has trusted me to create several pieces for her and this was one of them. It makes me happy to have a new challenge and this was indeed one. I used a photo given to me as a reference and quilled atop a print out of it. I have the photo cut out in my pocket protector and am quilling on top of it careful not to glue the paper to the plastic. I use straight pins to hold it together until it dries. Here I’ve taken the quilled rider and horse off of the styrofoam backing and added to a background I added of layered trees. Here’s the final piece…

Quilled Ballerina

Quilled Ballet,  Dancer I wanted to try something challenging and I saw a picture of a ballerina that I thought might be the one. Well, here it is....I used a combination of beehive and regular quilling. This is in honor of my daughter turning 13 today! Happy Birthday!!! Quilled Ballerina Quilled Ballerina
