Quilling on hold!!

Who knew that you could break a pinky finger and have this much of an ordeal? I was trying to catch my neighbors dog when it got loose and I grabbed its collar. I thought I just broke a nail until I realized it was actually my finger! Needless to say, quilling will be on hold for a while! Hope everyone else's New Year is off to a better start! :)

    Oh no, Jennifer! I'm so sorry that happened to you! I hope it doesn't hurt too much and that it heals very quickly! Enjoy your break...oops!! lol I mean enjoy the time of not doing so much!...Nancy :o)

      Lol! Not much of a break with 2 kids, 2 dogs, housework,and work! :) hopefully it won't be too much longer....:)

I have a close friend who has trusted me to create several pieces for her and this was one of them. It makes me happy to have a new challenge and this was indeed one. I used a photo given to me as a reference and quilled atop a print out of it. I have the photo cut out in my pocket protector and am quilling on top of it careful not to glue the paper to the plastic. I use straight pins to hold it together until it dries. Quilled Ballerina

Quilled Ballet,  Dancer I wanted to try something challenging and I saw a picture of a ballerina that I thought might be the one.
