Discovering Alcohol Inks

So recently I’ve discovered Alcohol Inks and I’ve had so much fun experimenting with them. I played around with a mountain scene and a dragonfly and thought, wouldn’t this be cool to use with quilling?

Quilled Ballerina

Quilled Ballet, Dancer I wanted to try something challenging and I saw a picture of a ballerina that I thought might be the one. Quilled Pointe Shoe

My daughter took Pointe this year at dance and being the end of the year, I wanted to make a special thank you card for the staff. I drew the outline for the shoe and then filled the spaces with 1/8 width quilling paper.

Day 30 – #amonthinpaper. Looking back at my early pieces, my lines were a little wonky, I used straight pins for everything (man it stretched the process out forever…), and my photo skills were severely lacking. I had a major learning curve and from practicing and experimenting, I’ve found better ways to do everything. I learned a lot from trial and error.
