It's Beach Time

I have mentioned that I have been working on quilled initials and I have one that has proven to be very popular. Everyone loves going to the beach and listening to the sound of the waves crashing. It can be so relaxing. The sky always appears to look different during the various times of day, so I've had request for different beach scenes.

Here is the one view...

Here is a second version...

And lastly, here is another version...

I've also recently had the opportunity to do the letter "O" in a ocean theme as well featuring a starfish.  I used jeweled accents on all of them to add a twinkle when the light hits.

Hope you've enjoyed! Please feel free to ask questions or leave comments :)

Quilled Pointe Shoe

My daughter took Pointe this year at dance and being the end of the year, I wanted to make a special thank you card for the staff.  I drew the outline for the shoe and then filled the spaces with 1/8 width quilling paper.

Another Ornament for Christmas

I found some more ornaments in my closet of craft stuff while cleaning this summer.  Obviously my cleaning didn't get very far being so delighted with my new discovery!  I found a cute clip art a while back of some holly leaves, so I thought about how I could do it inside the ornament.  After a few minutes, I was ready to start.  After gluing two leaves together, I gently pushed them inside.  I then used a plastic butter knife to keep them lying flat and let them dry.  I then added the third leaf.
