Roll Tide Roll!

I spent three days working on this project! I used an Alabama college football logo for my inspiration and slowly but surely finished it. For the whole process, I had to use a piece of cardboard covered with the picture tucked safely under a piece of wax paper. I then used pins to keep the shapes of paper into place. To make the outline of the letters, I put the pins into the outline of the letters and then used the white paper to make the shape of the letters. I then filled in the letters and slowly worked my way around.

Another Ornament for Christmas

I found some more ornaments in my closet of craft stuff while cleaning this summer.  Obviously my cleaning didn't get very far being so delighted with my new discovery!  I found a cute clip art a while back of some holly leaves, so I thought about how I could do it inside the ornament.  After a few minutes, I was ready to start.  After gluing two leaves together, I gently pushed them inside.  I then used a plastic butter knife to keep them lying flat and let them dry.  I then added the third leaf.

A Candy Cane Christmas

I decided I wanted to try another quilled ornament and so I chose a candy cane pattern. I quilled the first red and white candy cane as a whole. I then quilled the green and white candy cane into two pieces so that it would fit into the top of my ornament. I put the red candy cane inside first and then glued the two green pieces using tweezers to glue them onto the whole red and white candy cane.. After waiting a while, I then glued the bow on top using the tweezers to gently place it on top of the candy canes inside the ornament. I think I like the contrast of the two colors!
