I had a special request to make a quilled initial all in gold and creams. I wanted it to be glamorous yet classic. I found beautiful card stock in shades of gold. Some glittery, some shimmering, and some in a pearlescent quality with lots of different textures. I used my Cricut to cut out the lettering for the 50th and the date. The date was very tricky to do because of the specialty paper I used. It began to split apart as I lifted it off of the mat. Then with self cut strips in 1/2" width, I outlined the letter M and filled it with quilling. It is encased in an 11x14 shadow box . I hope I achieved the glamorous and classic look I was going for... I think so.
Quilling Fun, Crafting, Family, and whatever is on my mind at the time.
